PKR.com have announced the return of Oktober Fest their richest online poker festival to date. Starting October 17, the second coming of Oktoberfest arrives hot on the heels of the summer’s Super Series and promises to deliver the biggest spectacle of poker ever seen on PKR.com.
Boasting a massive prize pool totalling over $260,000, Oktoberfest 2008 repeats last year’s inaugural festival but will offer almost double the size of the prizes with generous increases on the guarantee of every event.

Following the success of the Super Series, Oktoberfest will feature a similar structure – twelve hot events set over as many days, capped off with the hugely popular ‘PKR Masters’ and the ‘Tournament of Champions’, which pits the best players of the series against each other for a cool $5,000 and bragging rights to champion status.
The events on offer at Oktoberfest are tailored to appeal to everyone with both speed and long running deep stack tournaments included in the schedule, in addition to popular Terminator and bounty tournaments. There are many ways in with a massive range of satellites on offer as well as lotteries to ensure everyone has a chance to book a seat to this fantastic series.
Last year’s festival was a huge success and this year’s will be bigger and better. PKR are planning to hit their biggest prize pool ever in The PKR Masters.
All final tables will be televised with the action broadcast to millions of televisions across Europe and also via youtube.com and PKR.TV – PKR.com’s very own web-based video channel.
